In this exclusive tasting for the Expats Cascais Group, we’ll discover 7 typical wines from the Lisbon region, each with its own character and style. Some of these wines come from regions that are literally right on our doorstep.
The tasting will be guided by Petra Bakker: Professional wine teacher and sommelier, specialised in Portuguese wines. Founder of Vidavinho and the Cascais Wine Club.

• Clear explanations, stories, and regional context
As we taste, Petra will guide you through the history and terroir of the Lisbon wine region and its key sub-DOCs, including Colares, Bucelas, and Carcavelos.
Fun fact: Colares vineyards are world-famous because they are among the very few places where vines still grow on their own rootstocks, rather than being grafted — a rare survival from before phylloxera.
During the tasting, we’ll serve a selection of bites from 7 Seas Bistro to accompany the wines.
