Discover the world of Portuguese wines with our tasting experiences in Cascais and Lisbon. Every month we organise several wine tasting events, aimed at an international audience of wine-lover who like to understand more about Portuguese wines.
With more than 15 years of wine teaching experience we know how to balance the fun of wine tasting with an educational character; the wine tastings have a workshop-style set up. Our speciality is to ´translate´ the Portuguese wines to an international audience.
All the wine tastings are available for individuals and small groups to sign up. We always serve 7-8 wines. bites and provide hand-outs. We use a location in the center of Cascais. Pre-booking is needed.
Our tastings have different themes: The Portuguese Wine Discovery is an all-round introduction to Portuguese wines. The Regional tastings zoom in on a specific Portuguese wine region or theme.

Sparkling Wines Tasting
Kick off the new year in a festive and relaxed way with a sparkling wine tasting full of elegance, freshness, and discovery. For some, it might even be the perfect moment to gently wrap up Dry January. For everyone else, it’s simply a great excuse to enjoy beautiful bubbles.
Alongside Portuguese espumantes, we’ll taste one Champagne and a selection of well-known sparkling wines from other countries. This line-up offers insights into how grape varieties, climate, and winemaking traditions influence style and character of sparkling wines.
Wine tasting: Alentejo Region
Alentejo wines are known for being approachable, fruit-driven, and great value for money. Grape varieties are usually clearly stated on the label, styles are easy to understand, and prices remain refreshingly accessible — making the region popular with both wine lovers and casual drinkers.
But Alentejo is far more diverse than many people expect.
Wine tasting: Fortified wines
Portugese wine makers are the masters of fortified wine; they make Port, Madeira, Moscatel, Carcavelos, Pico and Abufado in several regions. Many wine regions produce fortified wines that are the perfect drink in the december month. They are warming, sweet and festive. Matching with sweet desserts, cheeses or just enjoyed by themselves. In this tasting we will taste 8 different fortifies wines, varying in style and product methods, from bone dry to luscious sweet.
Portuguese Wine Discovery
The Portuguese Wine Discovery is a wine tasting that is all about the balance of education and enjoyment, highlighting regions and grape varieties that go far beyond the familiar names of Douro and Vinho Verde. Every Saturday in Cascais center. Includes seven very good wines, bites, handouts in a fun and informal setting. Our speciality is to ´translate´ the Portuguese wines to an international audience.
Regional Wine Tasting: Dão
In this wine tasting we will discover the characteristics of the wines from the Dão region, the rising star of the Portuguese wine regions. And one of our personal favourites. From elegant and mineral whites to more robust reds. Dão offers a great variety of styles in wine.
The Cascais Wine Club
Every 3 months the Cascais Wine Club present a new selection of wines to the members in wine tasting events. Members of the club visit the event, taste the wines and place their order. The wines are home delivered after the event.

Regional Wine tasting: Beira Interior
In this tasting we will explore the cool-climate wines from the Beira Interior region and discover the hidden gems of Portugals high altitude wine production. Expect interesting grape varieties like Rufete and elegant whites and reds.
