Vidavinho shares a passion for Portuguese wines with an international audience through professionally guided wine tastings and wine education experiences. Each tasting event is designed as a workshop, offering clear explanations of Portuguese wine regions, grape varieties and styles, while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming.
During our events, you will discover the diversity of Portugal’s wine regions, grape varieties and styles, while tasting carefully selected wines in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Each wine tasting includes a minimum of six wines, bites, and informative handouts to support your learning. All events are conducted in English and are designed for an international audience. .

Founded by an experienced wine educator with over 15 years of guiding groups, Vidavinho specialises in making Portuguese wine clear, engaging and enjoyable. Vidavinho is based in Cascais and works with several carefully selected venues in Cascais and central Lisbon.

An introduction to Portuguese wines, approached from an international perspective. Available several times per month. Takes place in Cascais center. Duration: 2,5-3 hours.

Wine tasting around a specific Portuguese wine region. A deep dive with more detailed information. Monthly returning with different themes. Takes place in Cascais.

Private Group tastings
Group events with colleagues, friends or family on request. At home, the office or on any external location in the Lisbon area. Tastings can be taylored to your groups needs, including catering options. Prices from € 35 per person.
Wine tasting calendar
The wine tastings in the calendar are open to book for individuals and smaller groups. For groups larger than six people we recommend booking a private group tasting.
About our wine tastings
Vida vinho means the life of wine. It is the project of Petra Bakker, and experienced, certified wine teacher from the Netherlands that is specialised in Portuguese wines.
With our tastings we aim to introduce the international audience to the exceptional wines that Portugal has to offer. Many expats and tourist struggle to navigate in wine stores and on wine lists. Often looking for familiar international grape varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. While many Portuguese wines are made from unique Portuguese grapes such as Touriga Nacional and Arinto, originating in distinct wine regions like Dão and Bairrada.
Our speciality is to ´translate´ the Portuguese wines to an international audience. So that you understand the context of what you are tasting, enriching the experience of tasting the beautiful Portuguese wines. Our tastings are set up like workshops, with a balance of education and fun. After all, we drink wine to have a good time and it is all about enjoying the experience together.
Most of our wine tastings are organised on a location in the heart of Cascais and are open to join for everyone.
For private groups or corporate events we customise the content of the tastings to the occasion and the group. We have acces to several locations in Lisbon and Cascais.
