In this wine tasting we will discover the characteristics of the wines from the Dão region, the rising star of the Portuguese wine regions. And one of our personal favourites.
The subregions of Dão offer a great variety in micro climates and soils, leading a great variety in wines. We will have seven amazing wines, each offering its own unique taste profile: From crispy, cool climate whites to full-bodied oaked Encruzado and from light, organic reds to full-tannin Touriga Nacional. We will cover all aspects of the great variety that Dão has to offer. And I am sure that after the tasting you will also have become a true Dão fan. Like myself.
As we taste, I will walk you through the history and terroir of the Dão. This relative unknown region that has a lot of potential and is so often underestimated.
