Rosé wine tasting

Provence Rose

Rosé Tasting day

Friday June 26 is international Rosé day. With Vidavinho we will celebrate this yearly returning tribute to rosé wines one day later, on Saturday June 27.

Rosé is often seen as a simple summer wine. But there is much more to discover. In this tasting, we will explore a range of rosé wines and see how diverse this style can be. We will taste different rosés side by side. Mostly from Portugal, with addition of one or two international examples for comparison.

Rosé reflects both grape variety and winemaking choices. Some wines are light and crisp. Others are more structured and suited for food. By tasting them together, you will clearly see these differences.

This tasting is a bit different from the regional sessions, as we focus on a wine style and learn more about the different ways of making and how that related to the taste and aromas of the wine in the glass.

What to expect

  • A guided tasting of different rosé styles (7-8 wines)

  • Clear insight into grapes, colour, and winemaking choices

  • Bites and handouts to support your learning
